1. Acceptance

By using Afterhours, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

2. Eligibility

Afterhours is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use companion features.

3. AI Companion Boundary

Companions are artificial intelligence software, not real people. They do not provide medical, therapeutic, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional advice. For emergencies, contact local emergency services.

4. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of unauthorized account access.

5. Purchases

Some features may require subscriptions, credits, or other in-app purchases. Prices, renewal terms, and refund handling are shown in the app or by the applicable app-store or payment provider at checkout.

6. Plan-Based Data Use

Free plan

If you use Afterhours on the Free plan, you authorize us to use data you provide or generate while on that plan—including conversations, prompts, feedback, preferences, uploaded or generated media, and usage data—to train, evaluate, test, and improve artificial intelligence and machine-learning models and to develop or improve Afterhours and related products. You also authorize us to share that Free-plan data with third-party AI providers, research and evaluation partners, and product-development partners for those purposes.

Paid plans

While you have an active paid subscription, we will not use data you provide or generate during that paid period to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, and we will not share it with third parties for their own training, research, advertising, or independent product-development purposes. We may still use service providers acting on our behalf when necessary to operate and secure Afterhours, process payments, provide support, or comply with law.

These rules apply according to your plan when the data is provided or generated. An upgrade does not reverse training or sharing that already occurred while your account was on the Free plan. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use Afterhours to:

• Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm others.
• Create, request, or share illegal content.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or exploit the service.
• Use the service in connection with minors or child sexual content.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms or change, suspend, or discontinue features. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
