Companions are AI, not people
Afterhours companions are artificial intelligence software. They are designed to feel present and to remember you, but they are not real people, and they are not a substitute for human relationships, medical care, therapy, or professional advice of any kind.
Not therapy or crisis support
Afterhours is for companionship and entertainment. It is not a mental health service and cannot provide crisis support. If you are in distress or thinking about harming yourself or others, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line in your area right away. A companion may gently encourage you to reach real help, but it is not equipped to be that help.
An 18+ experience
Afterhours is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use companion features. We do not knowingly allow minors on the platform. The experience is written for a mature audience and is meant to stay tasteful rather than graphic.
You are in control
You choose who you talk to and how far a conversation goes. You can steer, slow down, or change the subject at any time, and a companion is built to follow your lead. If something feels off, you can end the conversation, and you can manage or delete your account whenever you want.
Privacy by design

Reporting a concern
If you run into content or behavior that worries you, or you have a question about safety, contact us at hello@thegoatventures.com. We take reports seriously and review them.
