Afterhours is an AI companion app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the app and website. Our use of your information for training and third-party sharing depends on whether you use the Free plan or have an active paid subscription.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information, such as your email address and auth ID.
• Conversation content and preferences needed to power memory.
• Media you upload or generate through app features.
• Usage, device, crash, and diagnostic information.
• Purchase and subscription status from payment providers.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to operate Afterhours, personalize companion experiences, provide memory and media features, prevent abuse, improve reliability, process purchases, and respond to support requests.

Free plan

If you use the Free plan, we may use data you provide or generate while on that plan to train, evaluate, test, and improve artificial intelligence and machine-learning models, and to develop and improve Afterhours and related products. This data may include conversations, prompts, feedback, preferences, uploaded or generated media, and usage data.

Paid plans

While you have an active paid subscription, we do not use data you provide or generate during the paid subscription period to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data or conversation content. For all plans, we may disclose information to infrastructure, analytics, authentication, payment, storage, moderation, and AI service providers as needed to operate, secure, and support the app; to comply with law; or to protect rights and safety.

For Free-plan users, we may also share the Free-plan data described above with third parties, including AI model and service providers, research and evaluation partners, and product-development partners. Those third parties may use the data for model training, evaluation, research, safety, and product improvement under their applicable agreements with us.

For paid users, we do not share data provided or generated during an active paid subscription with third parties for their own training, research, advertising, or independent product-development purposes. Paid-plan data may still be processed by service providers acting on our behalf when necessary to deliver and secure Afterhours, process payments, provide support, or comply with law.

5. Plan Changes

These practices are based on your plan when the data is provided or generated. Upgrading to a paid plan protects data created after the paid subscription becomes active, but it does not reverse training or sharing that already occurred while you used the Free plan. If a paid subscription ends, data provided or generated after your account returns to the Free plan may be used and shared as described for Free users above.

6. Safety And Age

Afterhours is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child has provided personal information, we will take steps to remove it.

7. Your Choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your data by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons. Deleting data does not necessarily remove information from training that has already been completed or from third parties to whom it was previously disclosed, although we will handle valid requests as required by applicable law.
